Actives Charitable Trust
Actives Charitable Trust is a New Zealand based charitable organization with the thrust on supporting the sports and gaming bodies at local and national level.
Formed in 2001, the Actives Charitable Trust contributes millions of dollars in
grants to the community every year.
The major highlight of Actives Charitable Trust is the strict, but practical,
guidelines followed while issuing the grants. To avail the donations from Actives
Charitable Trust, the organization or group needs to be aware of the following
important features before applying for the grant -
- Actives Charitable Trust does not provide any grant to a commercial project,
like a gaming machine site etc.
- Actives Charitable Trust does not provide any donation to team or player
competing as a professional. For donations to amateur sports teams or clubs,
Actives Charitable Trust demands that such teams or clubs must be legally
constituted and formally established bodies, and should compete in the recognized
leagues and tournaments. The donation money can be utilized on actual and
reasonable travel expenses, sports equipment, playing attire, and ground hire.
- Actives Charitable Trust also supports educational institutions, like schools
and colleges. The donations are provided for purchasing specialized equipments
and/or providing certain services that promotes the development of youth.
- Actives Charitable Trust actively supports the non-governmental organizations
and charitable institutions (like Red Cross) that are committed to the overall
betterment of society in terms of health, nutrition, and other beneficial
projects.
- All the applications made for the grants must comply with the Gambling Act
2003 and the rules and regulations framed thereunder.
- All the application made for the grants must comply with any and all relevant
regulations or license conditions made by the Secretary of Internal Affairs.
- Normally, Actives Charitable Trust is quite flexible in donations. However,
due to large number of applications, there may be a case of funds-paucity.
In such a case, the Trust refuses certain applications on its discretion.
The Trust, basically, derives funds from Gaming Machine Proceeds, and then
distributes to the needy and deserving people and organizations. You just have
to fill-in the requisite form (available online) and submit it to the prescribed
mailing address. The backend operations are handled by the able staff of Actives
Charitable Trust. They'll timely inform you about the status and result of your
request for allocation of gaming machine proceeds.
